Dr. Mohammad Intakhab Alam
Founder of Diagnomed
Dr. Mohammad Intakhab Alam is an internationally trained virologist with over 20 years of experience, the CEO of Diagnomed GmbH, a pandemic‑competent diagnostics company based in Cologne, Germany, and the Founding Director of Diagnomed Delhi & Noida. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine and a Consultant for Infectious Disease Diagnostics at Anchor Diagnostics, Germany.
He holds advanced degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, and Medical Virology. His expertise spans pre-clinical infectious diseases, viral pathogenesis, diagnostics, prophylaxis, and antiviral/antimicrobial drug development, particularly for Influenza, HCV, and RSV. He is also experienced in clinical trial data reporting and clinical evaluation reports for MDs.
Dr. Alam has extensive experience in vitro diagnostics, regulatory affairs, and new medical product launches aligned with national regulatory frameworks. He is a full member of the American Society for Virology (ASV) and the International Society for Antiviral Research (ISAR) and has received travel awards to speak at major scientific conferences across Europe, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Singapore.
His work also focuses on pandemic preparedness and viral outbreak response, in alignment with global health agencies including WHO and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Dr. Alam is committed to evidence‑based therapy and disease management, and to international collaborations& bridging such as Germany–India partnerships that enrich technologies, close diagnostic gaps, and improve patient outcomes through timely medical intervention together with local manufacturers.
